RCDC’s Performance & Competition Teams
Each dancer is selected through an audition process to embark on an artistic journey. We, the teaching staff at RCDC, place them on appropriate teams based on the audition process and past performance. We believe in their talents and will continue to encourage and nurture them to grow. With that being said, dance is a disciplined art form. The skills that are developed on our team go far beyond the stage. Each team member will learn discipline, commitment, confidence, and perseverance. They will also learn time management, goal setting, and coping skills. Most importantly, every dancer gains their own artistic expression and confidence. For us, it isn’t about the trophy. Winning is about watching your child walk on stage and dance more confidently with every single step.
Being a member of RCDC’s competition team is an achievement, a privilege, and a commitment. There is a dedication to yourself and your teammates that is required for all dancers. Each team member will be challenged to a higher caliber of training than that of a recreational dance setting. Please do not confuse the two. Our plan is to elevate the team to a higher standard in both their training and performance.
