Robin Cotler has been collectively performing, studying, teaching, choreographing and adjudicating dance for over 40 years, and is the owner and artistic director of Robin Cotler Dance Center. She attended Point Park College’s dance program in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with scholarship. Robin Cotler has performed at Artpark in several dance productions as well as working with countless professionals.
Robin has taught for conventions and organizations throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. She served as Regional Director for The Christopher National Dance Teacher Seminars, and has been certified by Dance Masters of America. Robin has choreographed and directed successful productions such as the Nutcracker, West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, and many other theater and dance performances. Her dance studios in the New York region, Images In Dance, were selected as one of Dance Spirit and Dance Teacher Magazines “50 Up and Coming Dance Studios.”
Many of Robins students have been recipients of scholarships to performing arts universities, conservatories and prestigious dance study programs, and many are working professionally throughout the dance industry.
Robin’s innovative choreography, passion, and desire to keep the arts alive, has inspired her to form a professional company, Evolution Dance. Evolution has performed throughout the United States, as well as internationally and is excited to be moving to the Palm Beach Gardens area. On behalf of Evolution Dance, our company goals are to continue to explore movement and creative avenues in order to cultivate future dancers and choreograph original works that inspire audiences of all ages.
Robin Cotler Dance Center provides each student of all ages and levels with a highly-trained, skilled and caring instructor. In addition, guest artists, who are specialized dance educators, frequently come to teach workshops in order to provide the students with a broad variety of styles and techniques.
Noelle began her dance training at her mother’s studio, Images In Dance, in Batavia, NY at the age of 2. While attending high school Noelle had the opportunity to study at Jacobs Pillow and New York State Summer School of the Arts, (NYSSA) as well as several other intensives on the east coast. She then went on to receive her BFA in dance at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia PA, with honors in outstanding ballet performance. In 2011 Noelle’s travelled to Venice, Italy where she participated in Arsenale Della Danza, a professional program under the direction of Ismael Ivo. She has performed in Brazil, Poland, Italy and across the United States and has worked with artists such as Roni Koresh, Douglas Becker, Francesca Harper, Fernando Muchado, Marion Ballester and John Leher. This will be Noelle’s third season with GroundWorks Dance Theater, in Cleveland OH.
Joe grew up in Batavia, NY where he began his formal training under the direction of Robin Cotler at Images in Dance. He graduated from The University of the Arts in May 2009 with his BFA in Jazz Performance. While at school, he had the opportunity to work with numerous choreographers including Scott Jovovich, Roni Koresh and Paul Selwyn-Norton. While furthering his training at UArts, Joe worked as the dance swing at multiple theme parks on the east coast. Upon graduation, he joined Koresh Dance Company and is now going on his sixth season as a full-time member. He currently teaches and choreographs for numerous studios in the area and has had the opportunity to set his choreography on professional companies both in and outside of the Philadelphia area. Whether he’s performing or teaching, Joe will continue sharing the art of dance with people for years to come and is thrilled to be a part of the RCDC family.
Krista began her training at the age of three in Hudson, NH, at Melissa Hoffman Dance Center. After moving to Connecticut in 2000, she continued her training at D’valda & Sirico Dance and Music Centre, under the direction of Steve and Angela Sirico, where she trained in all styles of dance, and had the privilege of learning from ballet master Franco Devita. Upon graduating, Krista moved to New York City where she was involved in many projects including the opening and tour of Revolution at the Joyce Theatre, and various industrial projects ranging from Aflac to Juicy Couture. Krista joined Koresh Dance Company in 2011, and is currently in her fourth season as a company member. In addition to working for Koresh, she currently teaches and sets choreography for multiple schools in the Philadelphia area and beyond. Krista is so excited to be a part of the RCDC family.
Robert grew up in Batavia, NY and began dancing at the age of 10. He studied under the instruction of Robin Cotler at her studio, Images in Dance. In 2008 he began studying at The University of the Arts and graduated in May 2012 with a BFA in Dance Performance majoring in ballet. While at school, he studied and performed works by choreographers such as Brian Sanders, Ronen Koresh, Scott Jovovich, and Paul Sewlyn Norton. He also learned excerpts of works by William Forsythe under the direction of Douglas Becker and was selected to perform at the Joyce Theater in NYC to represent The University of the Arts. In the summer of 2010 and 2011, he worked with Robin Cotler’s dance company, Evolution Dance, and performed at the International Dance Festival in Ladek Zdroj, Poland. Currently he is going onto his third season as a dancer with the Koresh Dance Company directed by Ronen Koresh in Philadelphia.
